  • For students who have graduated from Advanced Parent Child, or our Advanced Beginner level. Students new to our program must be able to swim unassisted with their face in the water, and back float unassisted for about 10 seconds. Students should also be able to enter and exit the pool without assistance, submerge themselves with breath control (go under water while holding their breath), and roll themselves onto their back to breathe.

  • Must be preapproved/recommended to join this level

  • While bubbles may be used to increase confidence and strength in class, students entering this level should be comfortable swimming without a flotation device or assistance. This is not an appropriate level for nervous swimmers.

  • Students in this level will work on kicking, body position, safety breathing, rotating from the core, and a variety of drills, which will become the basis for proper stroke technique. A variety of tools and equipment will be used. 

  • From this level, students will graduate to Advanced.

*This level is not appropriate for children who are uncomfortable or nervous in the water, or who rely on a flotation device.
