Beginner swim lessons

Beginner 1

Age: 18 months - 3 years. Class size: 4 children. Session Length: 30 min/8 weeks.

Beginner 1 is where more experienced, comfortable, and confident newcomers develop their swimming skills in a larger group setting. Children comfortable swimming in puddle jumpers or similar flotation devices a short distance to their parents, who might put their face in, or jump independently can start here.

Beginner 2

Age: 3 - 5 years. Class size: 4 children. Session Length: 30 min/8 weeks.

Children who have taken swim lessons previously, still need floatation assistance, or cannot back float independently should start in Beginner 2. Students that cannot get on their stomach with their toes up behind them are also directed here.

Beginner 3

Age: 6 - 10 years. Class size: 4 children. Session Length: 30 min/8 weeks.

Beginner 3 is for older children who may have some have taken swim lessons previously, or have experience swimming independently. Students that cannot back float, swim underwater, or have trouble swimming without standing should register for this class. Some floatation assistance is used in order to help progression. This class allows students to gain the necessary skills to move to Intermediate.
