Water introduction


Age: 15 months - 36 months. Class size: 2 children. Lesson length: 20 min

Cost: $38/class

* It is completely normal for students to cry during the first two to four weeks of this class, based on their developmental age. The instructor will let you know if you need to intervene. If you think your child would do better with you in the water, please consider the Basic Parent Child option. 

  • An alternative to Parent Child classes, where the caregiver does not go in the pool with the swimmer.

  • For brand new swimmers, those who may have some water discomfort, or any student under 36 months who is new to our program, regardless of experience. 

  • No entry requirements other than age. 

  • Works to increase comfort, confidence, and independence in the water, while teaching proper use of a flotation device.

  • Moves slowly at first to give students time to adjust to the class environment, then focuses on kicking, back floating, breath control, safe entry and exit. 

  • From this level, students will graduate to Beginner.


Age: 3 - 6 years. Class size: 2 children. Lesson length: 30 min

Cost: $42/class

  • For brand new swimmers, or those with water fear/discomfort. 

  • Students entering this level may be unwilling to get their face wet, and cannot swim independently with a flotation device. Students who do not meet this criteria will be moved to an appropriate level.

  • Works to increase comfort, confidence, and independence in the water, while teaching proper use of a flotation device.

  • Moves slowly at first to give students time to adjust to the class environment, then focuses on kicking, back floating, breath control, safe entry and exit.

  • From this level, students will graduate to Beginner.
